Abstract
Impulsive buying is a buying process made by consumers without considering a product and does not go through the stages of searching for information and involving emotional elements. Impulsive buying can occur in both men and women who are generally at the stage of early adulthood. This study aims to determine emotional intelligence (X) with impulsive buying (Y) on employees who use pay later. The subjects of this study were employees with an age range of 19-25 years. The data collection method used the impulsive buying scale and the emotional intelligence scale. The results of the analysis of the data used in this study are Pearson Product Moment showing that there is a significant negative relationship between emotional intelligence and impulsive buying. This shows that the higher the emotional intelligence, the lower the impulsive buying. Conversely, if emotional intelligence is low, then impulsive buying is high.
