Abstract

Magnolia land housing is an area that will be built a housing with uneven ground conditions so it needs optimization, the first work to do is cut and fill. With a land area of 170,000 m² on uneven land, of course it requires heavy equipment, time, cost and volume of work are expected to be in accordance with the plan. Therefore, this study aims to describe the optimization of the use of heavy equipment in the cut and fill work of the Magnolia Land project in Rembang Regency. This study uses quantitative methods with descriptive information. The data collection technique in this study was preceded by conducting a literature review and then using a survey method with a structured test or interview technique to obtain primary and secondary data. Based on the data analysis, 5 alternatives were formed with the same equipment capacity with different numbers of heavy equipment. Of the 5 alternatives, a calculation of the productivity of heavy equipment in terms of time and cost will be made. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that in terms of the time of excavation and embankment work on the Magnolia Land Housing construction project in Rembang Regency the most efficient alternative is 3 which consists of 3 Komatsu PC200-8 excavator units and 16 dump trucks with a capacity of 7 m³ with a time difference. -217.4 hours or - 45.72% and work done 100% using this alternative. In terms of work and construction costs, the most efficient Magnolia Land housing development project in Rembang Regency is alternative 3 with a cost difference of - Rp. 28,461,140.00 or – 8,76% and work done 100% using this alternative.
