Abstract
Kertosono-Kediri Toll Road is one of the infrastructures connecting the economy in East Java where it connects Nganjuk and Kediri. The number of road users who feel restless experiencing traffic jam and pothole due to having to travel too long is certainly detrimental. However, it is necessary to plan the abutment structure and pile foundation on the bridge over the Bendokrosok River and 2 village road lanes located in Bakalan Village, Grogol District, Kediri. The purpose of this plan is to determine the shape of the abutment dimensions, control the stability of the plan (which is the control of shear, overturning, and soil bearing capacity), and determine the abutment foundation used. In the method of calculating the abutment structure, it is planned that the external force acting on the pile head should not exceed the allowable bearing capacity. Manual calculations are carried out with reference to the National Standardization Agency (SNI) for loading and planning bridges. The result is the abutment type (inverted T) with a length of 9 m and a height of 9.1 m requires abutment with 2D25-150 breast wall reinforcement and reinforcement for D16-300. The bearing capacity of the foundation under the abutment obtained is 138.36 tons/pole. Due to shear stability in unsafe conditions, a deep foundation is needed.
