Abstract

The advocate profession is often referred to as a respectable profession for its personality. The nickname is Officium Nobile, which is an honorable profession. In this regard, an advocate must have ethical integrity and high morale because he / she is responsible for law enforcement and justice. Having this professional standard will become a benchmark to become a guide for advocates before, during and after the case handler. Professional advocate standards have an effect on improving the quality of advocate services which indirectly naturally minimizes client dissatisfaction. In this research, the problems can be formulated: 1) How is the ratio legis of the standard professional advocate in realizing professional advocates? 2) How is concept of the standard professional advocate in realizing professional advocates? In answering the problem, the type of research used is normative juridical, with four problem approaches, namely the statutory, conceptual, historical and philosophical approaches. From this research two things can be found, namely: The Legis Ratio of the professional advocate's standard from a philosophical perspective is to provide guarantees for the protection of human rights in accordance with the concept and purpose of the rule of law. While the legal reason is to provide legal protection guarantees, both for the interests of clients and for the interests of advocates themselves. The concepts professional standards of the advocate must be made by advocate professional organizations, that concept must contain and reflect the values in Pancasila, so that the competence of advocate behavior reflects professional advocates with Pancasila spirit. By referring to the value of Pancasila in the professional standards of advocates, it will create a harmonious relationship between advocates and clients based on the principle of balance and the principle of kinship.
