Abstract

CV. Wana Indo Raya is one of the companies engaged in manufacturing in Lumajang. At this time CV. Wana Indo Raya will build a new production line to increase its production. In the old production line, the physical workload and mental workload have never been studied. In this study, measurements were made of the physical workload on the old production line and mental workload. This research was conducted by measuring the physical workload directly by calculating the pulse of workers when working once every hour and at rest. The measurement of mental workload was analyzed using the Nasa-TLX method. The results of the physical workload analysis of the increase in pulse rate for 4 employees in the sorting division were included in the medium workload category with an average of 38.39% for the rotary and hotpress employees, the increase in pulse rate was included in the low category with an average rotary operator = 27 ,08 % and hotpress operator = 26.43% . The results of the analysis of mental workload on rotary operators obtained an average value = 30.8, hotpress operators 44.83, sorting employees 46.66 all sections included in the category of low mental workload. 2. Operators who have light physical workloads should be given additional work activities or additional workloads so that operators with light physical workloads are more productive.
