Abstract

Basic education is an important stage in a formal education process that is passed by students. The sublime goal of Indonesia's basic education will be achieved through the active participation and positive involvement of teachers. The active and positive involvement of teachers certainly requires many things including commitment. Organizational commitment is an important aspect to get the work that is very optimal, it is because when a person feels comfortable in working, of course he will try as much as possible with all the ability he has to complete his work assignments. If someone has a high organizational commitment it will have an effect on the delivery of services or good work. The purpose of this study is to look for relationships between meaningful work variables, transformational leadership and organizational commitment of teachers both simultaneously and also partially. The subjects in this study were SDIT Ghilmani teachers who had a minimum service period of 1 year. Data analysis techniques using multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 20. The results of the study stated that there is a relationship between meaningful work, transformational leadership and organizational commitment in SDIT Ghilmani Surabaya teachers, so that both of these variables can predict organizational commitment. There is a positive relationship between meaningful work with organizational commitment and there is no relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment.
