Abstract

One of the factors that need attention in production activities is the layout of the facilities, in general a well-designed facility layout will also determine efficiency and in some cases will also maintain the survival or work success of an industry. In building an industrial company must be in accordance with the planning and design in accordance with the requirements for the establishment of an industrial company. CV. Trikarya Cakra Perkasa is a company engaged in the metal processing manufacturing industry, located on Jl. Colonel Sugiono No. 59 Ngingas Utara, Sidoarjo Regency. In the production process, the CV produces products needed for agricultural equipment, such as tractor wheel springs, and others. The method used in this research is ACTIVITY RELATIONSHIP CHART (ARC), using the ARC method can shorten the distance. Whereas the moving distance from raw material to finished product has a difference of 18 m from the initial layout distance and the material transfer time is faster and can reduce wasted time, the production capacity increases to 66 units / day from 955 / month to 1095 / month.
