Abstract

In the construction of Pandaan-Malang toll road, which has a length of 38.50 km, there are several obstacles in the construction of railway bridge located on STA 10+300 in Sengon of Pasuruan district including the construction of bridge which has interval time of train traffic that is relatively short and maximum 3 hours and time for construction that is relatively short and is targeted to be less than 1 year working days. The problem formulations of this research are how the results of analysis of construction strength, construction cost, and construction time of foot plate foundation as the alternative of design review that was originally using bore pile foundation. Budget plan of bridge construction project should be planned efficiently and optimally. Inside detail Engineering Design done by planing consultant, there are civil engineering disciplines that can be used to make the cost more efficient and more effective. Those disciplines known as Value Engineering. Value Engineering is a creative and planned approach which aim to identify and make unnecessary cost more efficient concerning the function and the quality of work. Research on railway bridge construction project in Sengon of Pasuruan district aimed at under bridge pondation that estimated to have the tendency of over design. The objective of this research is to find out the way of choosing and calculating the alternatif of under bridge pondation structure which are more suitable and efficient after Value Engineering done. Processes done are infomation collection step, creative step, analysis step, and recommendation step by using zero one method to process data and find out the expected alternative. Cost saving of under bridge pondation construction by using bore pile equals to Rp. 101.324.865.426,00 (one hundred and one billion and three hundred and twenty-four million and eight hundred and sixty-five thousand and four hundred and twenty-six rupiah) and dan cost saving of under bridge pondation construction by foot plate equals to Rp. 93.609.330.893,00 (ninety-three billion and six hundred and nine million and three hundred and thirty thousand and eight hundred and ninety-three rupiah) or cost saved equals to Rp. 7.715.534.532,75 or 7,61 %.
