Abstract

The objectives of this study are,obtain technical calculations for flexible pavement and rigid pavement,obtain the amount of costs required from flexible and rigid pavement technical calculations,obtain technical-efficient pavement types and the costs are assessed from the life plan of 10 years,Getting the breakeven point between the two types of pavement on the improvement of the Genengan-Lembeyan road in Magetan Regency.Theresults of thestudywereTechnicalcalculations of flexible pavement and rigidpavementontheincrease of Genengan-Lembeyanroad in MagetanRegency as follows: a. Planningthestructure of the flexible roadstructurewiththemethod of bina marga Thicksurfacelayer of Laston MS 744 : 10 cm Thickness of thefoundationlayer of brokenstoneclass A (CBR 100): 20 cm Thicker base layerundersirtuclass B (CBR 50) : 10 cm b. Planningthestructure of therigidroadstructurebythemethod of bina marga Bottomfoundation material : 125 mm binding material Pavementtype : continuedwithoutreinforcement (BBTT) Concrete SlabThickness : 250 mm Theamount of costrequiredfromthetechnicalcalculationfortheimprovement of theGenengan-Lembeyanroad in MagetanRegencyis as follows: a. Thecost of implementingtheimprovement of the flexible roadpavementmethodisRp. 16,429 billion b. Thecost of implementingtheimprovement of therigidpavementmethodisRp. 17,342 billion Based on the planned life of 10 years, the cost of rigid pavement works is more efficient than flexible pavement on the increase of the Genengan-Lembeyan road in Magetan Regency, with a cost savings of Rp.13,083 billion. The cost of flexible pavement work will break even with the cost of rigid pavement, if the rigid pavement work has been running for 11 years 1 month.
