Abstract

Road pavement conditions will experience a decrease in service level over time. The decline in the level of road service is marked by the occurrence of damage to the structure of the road pavement layer and if left for a long period of time it will be able to worsen the condition of the pavement layer so that it can affect the safety, comfort, and smoothness in traffic. To maintain road conditions, road maintenance and rehabilitation programs need to be carried out. However, the road damage maintenance and rehabilitation program has not been effective, especially in terms of determining the time and cost of the road handling program because it has not estimated the performance of road pavement conditions in the future, so an analysis of the road's performance is needed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of traffic loads, pavement structures and CBR on the value of road IRI and to estimate road pavement conditions in the next 10 years. The data used in this study are traffic loads, CBR, rainfall and road pavement structures. Analysis is carried out using the IRI (International Roughness Index) approach to predict road conditions. Data collection was carried out by surveying road damage using the ROADROID application and (RCI) Road Condition Index as preliminary data. This research will be applied to data collected from the national road network in East Java province, specifically the Bts national road section. Gresik City - Sadang. To simplify the analysis, the road segment is divided into 3 segments with the length of each km segment starting from Km 20 to Km 40.The results of data analysis show that an increase in traffic load of 31% will result in an increase in IRI value of 0.061 m / km per year, a difference in structural number value of 11.32% resulting in an increase in IRI of 0.034 m / km per year, while a CBR difference of 38 % results in an increase in IRI value of 0.017 m / km per year.
