Abstract

For a smooth journey, the road users demanded that the roadin its path always provide comfort and safety. However, road conditions decline with age so that at some point the road will have seen conditions that interfere with the smooth ride. Pavement performance going according to plan when the election materialsin accordance with the specifications laid down both for the surface layer or layers of road base.The performance of flexible pavements that were in areas that have a relatively high groundwater levels often damaged that it can not be overcome through the program handling routine and periodic maintenance. Damage occurs mainly as a result of weak supports at the bottom of the pavement construction. These problems can be understood that regions with relatively high water levels can weaken the carrying capacity of the subgrade and also the carrying capacity of the aggregate base course, base course either above or below the base course.As it was known, from its history since tens of years ago pavement at the site of Jalan Sudirman (Sampit) Kota Waringin Timur District and the surrounding area were always faced with the problem of frequent disruption of the stability of the road pavement and the level of service pavement existing road does not reach the optimal limit of Age Plan (UR).The purpose of this study were (1) getting thicker improvement of road structures on roads Jalan Sudirman (Sampit) Kota Waringin Timur Districtwith CTRB and without CTRB, (2) obtain the necessary expenses for the improvement of road structure on the road Jalan Sudirman (Sampit) Kota Waringin Timur District.After calculation, it was found that (1) Thick layers of a road needed for construction of road improvement Sudirman (Sampit) Kota Waringin Timur District during the design life of 10 years with details of the following layers:Base Surface: Laston MS = 744: 12 cmBase Above: CTRB: 20 cmBase Bottom: A class Sirtu CBR 70: 10 cm(2) Cost required to increase the Sudirman (Sampit) in the district of East Kotawaringan Rp 10,407,467,000.00
