Abstract

One of the national roads in Kotawaringin West Central Kalimantan province were roads Pangkalan Lada -Asam Baru. The road segment with the existing condition of the road width of 6.0 meters and 3 meters wide road shoulder which uses the type of road 1/2 UD (1-lane two-way). This road was a road that is very important in relationships, because this road serves to distribute goods and services in the region and the West Kotawaringin, EastKotawaringin Seruyan District. The condition of roads were paved concret but look wavy and cracks, especially at the corners and the slopeof the road. Therefore roads Pangkalan Lada -Asam Baru require the pavement in an effort to provide comfort and safetyof road users.Of these problems need to do research to improve the road structure on the road Pangkalan Lada -Asam Baru in West Kotawaringin.The purpose of this study were (1) Getting the thick structural improvement in road Pangkalan Lada -Asam Baru, (2) Getting the costs necessary for the improvement of road structure on the road Pangkalan Lada -Asam Baru.After planning a thicklayer of pavement, it was found that (1) Thick layers of a road needed for construction of road improvement Pangkalan Lada -Asam Baru District West Kotawaringan during the design life of 5 years with details of the following layers:Base Surface: LastonMS = 744: 10cmBase Above: Stone broke the class A CBR 100: 15cmBase Bottom: CBR 50 Sirtu class B: 25cm(2) Costs required for road improvements Pangkalan Lada -Asam Baru in the District of West Kotawaringan Rp 8,865,000,000.00
