Abstract

The rapid as the ASEAN free market progresses, make the world of business competition increasingly tighter including in the industrial sector. The existence of intense competition, the challenge faced by the company is produce products in a timely manner with good quality. In order for companies to continue to survive and increase profits in the free market era, the company must operate all of the company's activities apply economically, efficiently, and effectively in, one of which is by optimizing production control. This research are to know the effectiveness and efficiency of controls on the production of glue weber at PT. Dian Herbahal and provide suggestions or recommendations for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of controls on the production of glue weber at PT. Dian Herbahal. In the field research, this study used primary data is interview with the head of the factory and production staff at PT. Dian Herbahal. This study is a qualitative research with case study approach. Data collection techniques by observation, interview, documentation. The method of data analysis is to connect between condition of production control and operation with predetermined criteria, if there is any difference or problems, sought for the cause of the problem and the measured of consequent. The results of this research note that production control activities have been going well, but there are still some weaknesses regarding the delay of raw materials delivery, the use of raw materials, destruction of raw materials, maintenance of production facilities, reprocessing glue, the company's quality policy
