Abstract

The design of the Wulen Luo Beach Tourism Area is an effort to develop a marine tourism destination aimed at optimizing the natural potential of the coastal environment while supporting the economic growth of the local community. Wulen Luo Beach offers significant attractions, including scenic coastal views, unique coastal landscapes, and cultural potential that can be developed into a leading tourism destination. However, the area currently faces several challenges, such as inadequate supporting facilities, suboptimal spatial organization, and a lack of safe and comfortable public spaces for visitors. Therefore, the tourism area design seeks to create an integrated, functional, and sustainable tourism environment through the provision of supporting facilities and spatial planning that is compatible with the characteristics of the coastal area. The design is based on an analysis of site potential and user needs, emphasizing clear zoning arrangements, accessible circulation systems, and the provision of tourism facilities, including parking areas, pedestrian pathways, toilets, culinary areas, MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise) zones, public open spaces, and viewpoints. In addition to accommodating passive and active recreational activities such as sightseeing, walking, photography, and relaxation, the design also considers aspects of comfort, safety, and coastal environmental sustainability. The design results indicate that a well-planned tourism area can enhance visitor experience, strengthen local economic activities through the development of MSMEs and local culinary businesses, and increase the attractiveness of Wulen Luo Beach as a sustainable marine tourism destination.
