Abstract

In engine design many factors must be considered, one of which is the nature of the strength of the material and data on the mechanical properties of the material. The intended mechanical properties such as elasticity, yield strength, tensile strength, and others. The mechanical properties data obtained are very important in the design of a machine element. From the research that has been carried out obtained by machine design with 3 tests in one machine (tensile test, bending test and compressive test) and is equipped by supporting devices such as Load Cells that will display test data on the indicator, but will only be tested testing only on the test tensile and bending test. This machine will only test specifically for polymer composite materials with maximum engine strength of 1500 kg or 14705.9 N. In this case the test will also refer to the ASTM (American Standard Testing & Material) standard for composites.
