Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and meaning of life and life satisfaction in the sandwich generation. The research method used was quantitative with a correlational approach. The study subjects consisted of sandwich generation individuals who were in adulthood and had the responsibility of caring for both parents and children simultaneously. The research instruments consisted of an emotional maturity scale, a meaning-of-life scale, and a life satisfaction scale. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results showed an F-value of 32.912 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that emotional maturity and meaning-of-life simultaneously have a significant relationship with life satisfaction. The partial test results show that emotional maturity has a significant relationship with life satisfaction (p < 0.05), and that meaningfulness in life has a significant relationship with life satisfaction (p < 0.05). The findings of this study indicate that the ability to manage emotions and the ability to interpret life play a significant role in shaping life satisfaction in the sandwich generation.
