Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Loneliness and Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) in Generation Z migrants. This study used 140 Generation Z subjects born in 2000-2012 and living in Surabaya. The data collection instrument used the UCLA Loneliness Scale and the Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) scale developed by the researcher based on indicators. Analysis in the study using Spearman's rho correlation produced a coefficient value of r = 0.855 with a significance of p = 0.000 which indicates a positive and significant relationship between Loneliness and Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). This means that the higher the loneliness, the higher the Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) in Generation Z migrants in Surabaya. Conversely, the lower the loneliness, the lower the Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) in Generation Z migrants in Surabaya.
