Abstract

The growth of the e-commerce industry, particularly in the sale of online game items, necessitates systems capable of delivering personalized shopping experiences for users. This research aims to design and implement an e-commerce website for online game items that utilizes the Content-Based Filtering (CBF) algorithm to provide relevant product recommendations based on user preferences. The CBF algorithm analyzes product attributes—such as category, genre, and price—and compares them with the user's transaction history. The system was developed using the Laravel framework, PHP programming language, and a MySQL database. System evaluation involved two approaches: Black Box Testing to verify system functionality and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure usability and user satisfaction. Black Box Testing results demonstrated that all features functioned according to specifications, while the SUS assessment yielded an average score of 72.25—placing it in the "B" (Good) category—indicating that the system is user-friendly and well-received by users. This research contributes to the development of game-oriented e-commerce through a personalization-based approach and serves as a foundation for future studies regarding the implementation of other recommendation algorithms.
