Abstract

This study aims to measure the quality of the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)-based internet network at PT. Mitra Lintas Multimedia FAZNET using the Quality of Service (QoS) method. With rapid technological developments, the demand for high-quality internet networks is increasing. PT. Mitra Lintas Multimedia FAZNET, which provides telecommunications and internet access services, frequently encounters network problems such as slow connections, signal interference, and decreased customer satisfaction. This study used the Wireshark application to evaluate network performance using QoS parameters, such as Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay, and Jitter. The study was conducted in several stages. First, a literature review was conducted to understand the theoretical basis for QoS methods and the use of Wireshark. The next stage was a QoS requirements analysis, which included discussions with the company to identify key issues. Afterward, Wireshark was configured for data collection, followed by QoS parameter measurements on the office and customer networks. The data obtained was then analyzed to identify the root cause of the problem and provide solutions in the form of recommendations for improving network quality.The results of this study are expected to positively contribute to network management at PT. Mitra Lintas Multimedia FAZNET, with solutions such as bandwidth optimization, data traffic prioritization, and network infrastructure improvements. These solutions aim to improve the user experience and ensure service quality standards are met.
