Abstract

In today's digital era, technology continues to develop and spread worldwide, affecting almost every aspect of human life and presenting both new benefits and challenges in managing resources and the environment. The rapid development of technology has had a significant impact on companies in the industrial, sales, and service sectors, including those focusing on tent and party equipment rental services. Recently, the tent rental business has grown rapidly alongside the increasing use of websites. However, due to the variety of tent models with different types and prices, prospective renters often feel confused and find it difficult to choose the right tent model for their needs. Meanwhile, business owners often struggle to provide recommendations on the best and most suitable tent models. Therefore, this study aims to develop a web-based recommendation system to help the “KAISAR” tent rental service improve customer service and experience. The method used to build this recommendation system is hybrid filtering, which combines two methods: Collaborative Filtering and Content-Based Filtering. Collaborative Filtering is a method that searches for similarities in customer preferences to recommend products or services that match their preferences. Content�Based Filtering, on the other hand, uses the characteristics of a product or service to provide recommendations to customers with similar interests. By combining these two approaches, the hybrid filtering recommendation system is expected to provide more accurate and relevant recommendations to customers. This will increase the likelihood of customers finding products or services that match their needs and preferences.
