Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the relationship between parental support and school well-being on students' learning motivation. The subjects of this study were students of SMP Negeri 17 Surabaya, with a total population of 883 students, and 125 students were selected as samples using a purposive sampling technique. This research employed a quantitative correlational method, with data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires developed based on the aspects of each variable. The collected data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho statistical technique. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between parental support and students' learning motivation, as well as a significant positive relationship between school well-being and students' learning motivation. Simultaneously, parental support and school well-being also showed a significant relationship with students’ learning motivation. These findings indicate that the higher the level of parental support and the better the well-being experienced by students at school, the higher the learning motivation they possess.
