Abstract

Mahasiswa yang bekerja menghadapi tantangan ganda dalam menjalani peran akademik dan profesional, sehingga memerlukan kemampuan adaptabilitas karir yang baik. Salah satu faktor psikologis yang diyakini berpengaruh terhadap adaptabilitas karir adalah hardiness. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara hardiness dengan adaptabilitas karir pada mahasiswa yang bekerja di Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 383 mahasiswa aktif yang bekerja, dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa skala adaptabilitas karir yang disusun berdasarkan teori Savickas dan Porfeli (2012), serta skala hardiness yang merujuk pada teori Kobasa (1982). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 27.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara hardiness dan adaptabilitas karir (r = 0,702; p < 0,01). Artinya, semakin tinggi tingkat hardiness yang dimiliki mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat adaptabilitas karirnya. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa hardiness berperan penting dalam mendukung mahasiswa pekerja untuk tetap adaptif terhadap dinamika dunia kerja dan tuntutan akademik yang kompleks.
