Abstract

UD Logam Abadi is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of accessories for PLN and Telkom, one of which is the Suspensen Q spare part component. In its production activities, the company faces a number of obstacles, one of which is the absence of a standard working time for employees in completing one unit of spare parts. As a result, workers do not have a daily target reference in completing the number of units to be produced, which has an impact on not achieving the expected production volume. In addition, market demand that fluctuates every month also adds to the complexity of production planning. The assembly process which is still carried out manually makes the role of workers in this section very crucial. Therefore, determining standard time is very important to determine the achievement of monthly production targets effectively. This study aims to determine the standard time needed by workers to complete one unit of Suspensen Q and determine the optimal number of workers in each division. The method used in this study is Stopwatch Time Study. Based on the results of data analysis, the standard time to complete one unit of Suspensen Q is 550.49 seconds or around 9.16 minutes. The optimal number of workers needed is 2 to 3 people for each division.
