Abstract

Bejijong Village is one of the cultural tourism destinations located in Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency, which holds great potential for developing tourism and advancing Creative Micro Enterprises (CMEs). The village is renowned for its historical sites from the Majapahit Kingdom, such as Candi Brahu, Petilasan Siti Inggil, and Kampung Majapahit, as well as cultural products like traditional batik and brass statues. This study aims to: (1) Analyze the development strategies of cultural tourism in Bejijong Village, (2) Identify the role of cultural tourism in supporting the growth of creative micro enterprises, (3) Identify internal and external factors affecting cultural tourism development, and (4) Analyze the economic impact of tourism development on the local community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a SWOT analysis approach. The findings indicate that Bejijong Village has strong cultural and historical assets, yet still faces challenges such as low interest among younger generations in the creative industry and a lack of innovation in tourism products. The conclusion of this research shows that cultural-based tourism development has a significant impact on the growth of creative micro enterprises. Sustainable strategies are essential through innovation, product quality improvement, and digital-based promotion to enable Bejijong Village to compete with other cultural destinations and enhance the welfare of its community.
