Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara learned helplessness dengan persepsi terhadap tindakan premanisme oleh tukang parkir liar di Kota Surabaya. Premanisme yang dilakukan oleh tukang parkir liar menciptakan ketidakpastian dan ketidaknyamanan bagi pengendara, yang sering kali merasa terpaksa membayar pungutan liar untuk menghindari konflik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan melibatkan 150 responden yang dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur tingkat learned helplessness dan persepsi terhadap tindakan premanisme. Berdasarkan hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,766 dengan taraf signifikasi p = 0,001 (p<0,005) yang menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan signifikan antara learned helplessness dan persepsi negatif terhadap tindakan premanisme, di mana semakin tinggi tingkat learned helplessness, semakin buruk persepsi responden terhadap tindakan premanisme. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya memahami faktor psikologis dalam konteks sosial yang kompleks seperti premanisme, serta perlunya upaya kolaboratif antara pemerintah dan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih aman dan nyaman.
