Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat pemotong kripik singkong yang bisa meningkatkan kapasitas dan efisiensi produksi di UMKM Kripik Cassava yang berada di Desa Bumi Ayu, Kota Malang. Sebelumnya, pemotongan dilakukan secara manual, yang memakan waktu lama dan menghasilkan irisan yang tidak rata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain survei, identifikasi masalah, perancangan alat, uji coba, serta analisis biaya dan produktivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat baru ini dapat mempercepat proses pemotongan, meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, dan memenuhi permintaan konsumen. Sebelum alat baru digunakan, produktivitas pemotongan mencapai 3,12 kg per jam. Setelah alat baru diterapkan, kapasitas pemotongan meningkat menjadi 4,3 kg per jam, dan total produksi bertambah dari 75 kg menjadi 90 kg per hari. Selain itu, Produktivitas meningkat dari 3,12 menjadi 4,3, menunjukan efektivitas alat dalam meningkatkan hasil kerja.
