Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat pengupas kulit kelapa muda yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan produktivitas dalam proses pemotongan kelapa. Proses manual yang dilakukan oleh Pak Agung, pemilik usaha kelapa muda, memakan waktu sekitar 95 menit untuk mengupas 30 kelapa, dengan produktivitas yang sangat rendah. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, alat pengupas dirancang dengan fokus pada efisiensi dan keselamatan kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan alat, dan pengujian di lapangan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mengupas 30 kelapa dapat dikurangi menjadi hanya 16 menit, dengan waktu per kelapa hanya 0,5 menit. Selain itu, produktivitas meningkat dari 0,32 menjadi 1,9, menunjukkan produktivitas alat dalam meningkatkan hasil kerja. Pembahasan mengungkapkan bahwa alat ini tidak hanya berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan produktivitas, tetapi juga memberikan solusi yang lebih aman bagi pekerja. Dengan demikian, alat pengupas kulit kelapa muda ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi usaha kelapa muda Pak Agung dan menjadi acuan untuk pengembangan alat serupa di masa depan.
