Abstract

One of the most appropriate ways to overcome unemployment today is through entrepreneurship. The choice for entrepreneurship can create jobs and reduce the number of unemployed. Are young people equipped with entrepreneurial knowledge from formal and informal education Positive self-confidence or self-efficacy is a determinant of success that will create satisfaction that comes along with the knowledge that has been absorbed. Character is a state of soul that appears in behavior and actions as a result of the influence of innate and environmental influences. Based on these things, the researcher is interested in conducting a study entitled "THE EFFECT OF EMPLOYMENT KNOWLEDGE, SELF-CONFIDENCE AND ENTERPRISE CHARACTER ON THE INTEREST IN ENTERPRISE IN YOUNG PEOPLE OF GENTING RW.03 SURABAYA" This research uses quantitative research methods, the population in this study was 50 young people from Genting, Asemrowo Subdistrict, Surabaya. The sampling method uses the census method, tenik taking samples from all populations. The data collection method uses a questionnaire, while the data analysis techniques used are classical assumption tests, multiple linear tests and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that partially entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurial character have a significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. While self-confidence has no significant effect on entrepreneurial interest.
