Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kualitas audit internal di seluruh kementerian Timor-Leste, dimana pada faktanya kualitas audit internal di kementerian Timor-Leste masih berkualitas rendah, karena kualitas audit internal sangat dipengaruhi oleh perilaku politik pimpinan dan red flags, sehingga integritas auditor, kompetensi auditor, independensi auditor dan tekanan kerja auditor menjadi faktor yang sangat mempengaruhi kualitas audit internal. Kemudian dengan tidak adanya satu aturan dan sistem yang dapat digunakan oleh seluruh auditor TimorLeste dalam melakukan pemeriksaan menjadi faktor utama yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas audit internal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode explanatory research. Penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah 88 staff auditor di Kementerian Timor-Leste. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa intergritas auditor, kompetensi auditor, independensi auditor dan tekanan kerja memberikan pengaruh signifikan dengan arah positif terhadap red flags, perilaku politik pimpinan dan kualitas audit internal melalui perilaku politik pimpinan. Kemudian intergritas auditor, kompetensi auditor dan independensi auditor memberikan pengaruh signifikan dengan arah positif terhadap kualitas audit internal. Sedangkan tekanan kerja tidak berpengaruh secara langsung pada kualitas audit internal, hal ini dikarenakan semakin auditor mendapatkan tekanan kerja maka kualitas audit internal akan semakin menurun. Selanjutnya red flags dan perilaku politik pimpinan memberikan pengaruh signifikan dengan arah positif terhadap kualitas audit internal. Integritas auditor dan kompetensi auditor tidak berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap kualitas audit internal melalui red flags. Kemudian independensi auditor dan tekanan kerja memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas audit internal melalui red flags.
