Abstract

Gedung SMP Karitas Yogyakarta berada di yogyakarta. gedung ini berdiri di tanah seluas 4.750m2 dengan dua bangunan yang masing-masing terdiri dari 2 lantai. Bangunan tersebut berdiri di daerah dekat dengan rawa dan permukiman tanah datar di antarabangunan rumah penduduk. Selain itu masih terdapat hamparan perkebunan dan sawah di belakang lokasi.dimana pada gedung SMP Karitas Yogyakarta tidak terdapat sistem penyalur petir seharusnya gedung yang memiliki ketinggian perlu sistem penyalur petir agar terhindar dari bahaya yang diakibatkan oleh sambaran petir. Penelitian ini merancang sebuah sistem penyalur petir. Dengan menggunakan standar yang diperbolehkan. Didapat hasil kerapatan sambaran petir pertahun sebesar 20,28 km2/ tahun dengan area cakupan ekivalen yang terluas sebesar 8297,045466m2, sambaran petir kebangunan paling besar 0,086 dengan tingkat proteksi I pada seluruh gedung SMK. Kemudian untuk memproteksi seluruh gedung diperlukan 9 batang splizer agar melindungi seluruh gedung. Kemudia sistem pentanahan memebutuhkan 3 batang elektroda
