Abstract

Mojokerto Regency is an area that still has a very significant stunting rate, especially in Gondang sub-district. Stunting in children has an impact on increasing rates of illness and death, less than optimal cognitive, motor and language development in children, as well as increasing medical costs. Stunting can inhibit brain development, which has long-term consequences such as mental delays, lower learning ability, and increased risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity. Stunting is a condition of chronic malnutrition that occurs due to inadequate food intake over a long period of time, so that nutritional needs are not met. Growth failure can start when the fetus is still in the womb and only appear when the child is two years old. This research aims to determine and analyze the implementation of policies to accelerate integrated stunting reduction as an effort to reduce stunting rates in Mojokerto district, especially Gondang district. The research method used is qualitative research with descriptive methods, data collection techniques in this research are by observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that in implementing the Mojokerto Regent's regulation policy no. 66 of 2021 concerning the acceleration of integrated stunting reduction, the government is collaborating with village governments and other private parties. Policy implementers have carried out their duties well in accordance with their fields and the community has also cooperated quite well in efforts to accelerate stunting reduction in Gondang sub-district.
