Abstract
Termination of Employment Disputes (PHK) is an issue that often occurs and causes conflict between workers and employers, One of the main ways to provide legal protection and certainty to workers, in labor law there are regulations that provide protection for workers. This research aims to resolve layoff disputes and the legal remedies that can be taken. The research method used is normative law which uses a statutory approach, and case studies and analysis of legal reading materials, and focuses on layoff cases handled by the Manpower Service in Surabaya. The results of this research show that supervision by the Manpower Service has an important role in mediating and resolving disputes, as well as ensuring that layoff procedures are carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, in addition to legal efforts being taken to provide significant protection for rights. worker. This research shows that to reduce the possibility of layoff conflicts, it is necessary to improve the skills and abilities of labor inspection officers, in addition to increasing legal knowledge among employers and workers.
