Abstract

The depiction of what form of representation of resistance to power is in accordance with the events in film 3: Anggy Umbara's Alif Lam Mim, Researchers want to know how to represent the form of resistance to the dominant power in film 3: Anggy Umbara's Alif Lam Mim. The research approach in the title "Representation of Power Resistance in Film 3: Alif Lam Mim by Anggy Umbara" is to use a descriptive qualitative approach with the semiotic analysis method. This research focusses on the way film 3: Alif Lam Mim describes various forms of resistance to power, while emphasising the importance of the basis of humanity in all forms of resistance. Researchers identified several representations of resistance found in the film, such as resistance with a humanistic approach, passive resistance, massive resistance, and more aggressive resistance. Based on the data that has been processed by researchers using the research concept from Antonio Gramsci's counter hegemony theory with the research title "Representation of Power Resistance in Film 3: Alif Lam Mim by Anggy Umbara" researchers can find a conclusion from a result and discussion of research in the previous point by using Charles Sanders Peirce's version of the semiotic analysis method which contains resistance to power in film 3: Alif Lam Mim by Anggy Umbara.
