Abstract

Teruntuk pemenuhan kebutuhan tenaga listrik, Gedung Untag Surabaya memakai energi listrik yang berasal dari PLN. Namun suplai energi listrik dari PLN tak bisa dengan berkesinambungan memberikan energi listrik tanpa terdapat gangguan. Hingga, teruntuk mengatasi perihal tersebut, maka harus terdapat sistem back-up energi listrik yakni Genset supaya energi listrik teruntuk kepentingan gedung masih dijaga. Genset beroperasi secara otomatis, ketika listrik PLN mati, generator akan langsung aktif. Sebaliknya, ketika listrik PLN kembali normal, generator akan berhenti beroperasi. Begitu pula kebalikannya, jika energi listrik PLN normal lagi, hingga genset bisa berhenti bekerja.
