Abstract

This research aims to determine employee relations strategies in increasing employee productivity at PT. Candi Ngrimbi Unit I Taman Sari Banyuwangi. The method used is qualitative with an exploratory approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation to understand the role of public relations and employee relations programs in the company. The results of the research show that the role of public relations which includes expert advisors, communication facilitators, problem solvers, and communication technicians is carried out by the leadership and finance section of unit I. Furthermore, employee relations strategies include planning through surveys and observations, appropriate budget management, monitoring program implementation, evaluation of program effectiveness, and program development based on evaluation results. The implementation of 5 employee relations programs succeeded in increasing productivity, although there were financial obstacles that caused the termination of several programs. The findings from this research contribute to the validation of organizational communication theory and the concept of employee relations in the context of the sulfur mineral natural resource management and distributor industry, as well as providing concrete recommendations for increasing productivity at PT. Candi Ngrimbi Unit I Taman Sari Banyuwangi.
