Abstract
Korean Sreet Food culture is one of the culinary delights that is very popular with the people of Surabaya, for example, they really accept Korean culture and are enthusiastic about trying the Sreet Food culinary that appears in the city of Surabaya This research explores the cultural phenomenon of Korean Sreet Food consumption, especially Tja N Tjuk Fish Cake in Surabaya. The main aim of this research is to explore and understand how Surabaya consumers experience and present the experience of consuming Korean food. This research uses a phenomenological approach to explore the meaning contained in the experience of consuming Sreet Food, as well as how it interacts with local consumption culture in Surabaya. The research method used was in-depth interviews with consumers who had consumed Tja N Tjuk Fish Cakes at the Surabaya Regional Military Command. The research results show that Surabaya consumers have a high interest in Korean Sreet Food, especially in Tja N Tjuk Fish Cake at Kodam Surabaya, because of the unique taste and unique presentation process. This is an interesting phenomenon to research and is expected to provide deeper insight into the adaptation and adoption of Korean food in the context of local Surabaya dining culture, as well as the social and cultural implications of this phenomenon.
