Abstract

ABSTRACT This thesis is due to the increasingly competitive competition of companies in the city of Surabaya, triggering competition in offering products to consumers, especially in food products. In the marketing communication section there is a sales promotion section. To market a product by focusing on the elements of sales promotion using human resources which is often called the Sales promotion girl, in this case it is used to market the product Kecap cap Orang Jual Sate and reach as many consumers as possible. Sales promotion activities play an important role for the continuity of sales of the product. For this reason, this research will examine the marketing communication strategy of sales promotion girl (SPG) kecap cap orang jual sate selling in increasing the number of sales in Surabaya.This type of research is descriptive qualitative, using several informants to conduct interviews and observations. Sources of data used are information sourced from direct observations to the study site by means of observation and interviews. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the marketing communication strategy with the pattern of applying the promotion mix is supported by the elements of sales promotion in it. Research implications, this research is expected to be a reference in running a business to increase the number of sales and is useful for students who want to complete the final project.
