Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Instagram content strategy implemented by the social media managers of the Gresik Regency Government in disseminating public service information. The background of this research is the importance of social media as an effective government communication tool in today's digital era. Instagram, as one of the popular social media platforms, has great potential to reach a wide audience and convey information quickly and efficiently. The Gresik Regency Government utilizes Instagram to enhance transparency, public participation, and community engagement in various government services and programs. This research employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with three informants, namely the managers of the @pemkabgresik Instagram account, the media staff from Kominfo, and intern students. Documentation results include screenshots of the @pemkabgresik Instagram account, showing the number of followers and interactions through the comment section as visual evidence to support the research findings. The theory used to analyze the findings is the PR Strategy Theory by Cutlip & Allen H. Center. The research results indicate that the managers of the @pemkabgresik Instagram account target the youth demographic in creating informative content. However, the managers do not have specific guidelines for content creation, resulting in sporadic or irregular content production.
