Abstract

This research aims to analyze and compare the framing used in presenting information about Ganjar Pranowo's political strategy on two YouTube channels, namely "Podkaesang Tepi Pintu" and "Mata Najwa Narasi TV". The two events were chosen because they represent two different approaches to political communication via social media. "Podkaesang Tepi Pintu" uses a relaxed and humorous style, while "Mata Najwa Narasi TV" adopts a more formal and in-depth approach. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a constructivism paradigm. Data was obtained through documentation and observation on the two YouTube channels. The analysis was carried out using the framing theory of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki which identifies how the media frames information and influences audience perceptions. The research results show that "Podkaesang Tepi Pintu" focuses more on audience engagement by using a light, humorous and inclusive language style, as well as presenting Ganjar Pranowo in a more relaxed and friendly context. In contrast, "Mata Najwa Narasi TV" emphasizes completeness of information and depth of analysis with a formal and serious language style, as well as providing space for critical and in-depth discussion. These differences reflect each show's strategy in positioning itself in the media landscape: "Podkaesang" targets audiences seeking light entertainment and information, while "Mata Najwa" targets audiences seeking comprehensive information and serious discussions. These two approaches show how social media can be used effectively for a variety of political communication purposes, according to different audience characteristics and preferences. This research provides insight into how framing in social media can influence public perceptions of political figures and their political strategies, as well as the importance of choosing the right communication style to achieve certain goals in political campaigns
