Abstract

Unemployment is still a problem that is difficult to overcome in Indonesia. One solution that can reduce the unemployment rate in Indonesia is entrepreneurship. However, the problem is the low interest in entrepreneurship at the tertiary education level. This research was conducted to find out whether there were differences between Adbis Untag Surabaya students and Adbis UHT Surabaya students in terms of family environment, income expectations, use of social media and interest in entrepreneurship. This type of research is comparative research and quantitative research, which compares the presence of one or more variables in two or more different samples. In this research, a non-probability sampling method was used with the Purposive Sampling technique, namely sampling using the desired criteria to determine the number of samples to be studied. The samples in this research were 129 Adbis Untag Surabaya students and Adbis UHT Surabaya students, 81 Adbis Untag Surabaya students and 48 UHT Surabaya Business Administration students. The author uses offline data collection techniques using e-questionnaires via g-fotm and online by distributing paper questionnaires directly. The questionnaire distributed contains several statements for target respondents with measurements using a Likert scale to determine whether the respondents agree/disagree. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the Homogeneity test with the aim of finding out whether the two groups have the same variance or not. And the Independent Sample T Test to find out whether there are differences between the two sample groups. The research results show that there are no differences in family environment, income expectations, use of social media and interest in entrepreneurship.
