Abstract
The purpose of this study to determine the influence of work motivation and quality of work life with the role of organizational citizenship behaviour as a mediator variable in influencing teacher employee performance in the city of Surabaya. This research involved 500 teachers who represented all regions in the city of Surabaya using random sampling techniques to determine research participants. Data collection used the employee performance scale and work motivation scale developed by researchers, the quality of work life scale and the organizational citizenship behaviour scale which were distributed online using Google Form. The research data has been tested for assumptions using normality and multicollinearity tests and the data analysis technique used in this research is path analysis. The results show that work motivation influences employee performance directly without being mediated by organizational citizenship behaviour with a path coefficient value of 0.556 and a significance of 0.000 <0.01. Organizational citizenship behaviour has been proven to be able to mediate the relationship between the quality of work life and teacher employee performance in the city of Surabaya with a coefficient value of 0.041 with a significance value of 0.037 <0.05. Work motivation has also been proven to influence teacher OCB with a significance of 0.000 < 0.01, as well as quality of work life can influence OCB with a significance of 0.000 < 0.01. Organizational citizenship behaviour carried out by teachers has also been proven to influence teacher employee performance in the city of Surabaya with a path coefficient value of 0.201 and a significance of 0.015 < 0.05.
