Abstract
Modifications of odong-odong which look unique, attractive, and can accommodate many passengers, in fact seem to be haphazard. The existence of this odong-odong can endanger passengers. So in this research we try to formulate the problem of how odong-odong is regulated in law. number 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation and what responsibility if an accident occurs to an odong�odong driver who does not have an operational permit. The research method used in this research is normative legal research using the statutory and regulatory approach method, the contextual approach method. The results of research on odong-odong regulations in law number 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation are that article 77 concerning driving licenses law number 22 of 2009 and article 132 paragraphs 6 and 7 concerning procedures for modifying regulations regulated by the republican government Indonesia number 55 of 2012 concerning vehicles and article 277 odong-odong is included in the modified vehicle category of law number 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation but until now there are no specific regulations governing odong-odong in law number 22 of 2012 2009 concerning traffic and road transportation and Republic of Indonesia government regulation number 55 of 2012 concerning vehicles. The driver's responsibility if an accident occurs to an odong�odong passenger who does not have an operational permit, the responsibility of the odong-odong driver who commits a violation or an accident occurs is with the imposition of administrative sanctions, contained in articles 218 and article 211 which explain that violations of provisions regarding the environmental impacts of road traffic and transportation can result in administrative sanctions, which include written warnings, administrative fines, suspension of permits, and/or revocation of permits.
