Abstract

Abstract - A construction project is a sensitive set of work because each aspect affects each other in a similar way. In the implementation of construction projects there is often a conflict between the schedule of the work plan that does not correspond to the realization on the field. Often the cause of delays is due to a change in the situation during the implementation of the project, changes in design, weather factors, labor needs, and so on. The construction project of the 4-storey building of Wachid Hashim Elementary School in Surabaya, which has an estimated work time of approximately 48 weeks, is experiencing problems, namely the demand for accelerated work time, which in its implementation is due to delays in work on the 24th to the 32nd week. This research will analyze the acceleration time and cost of project using the Crashing program method which aims to describe the work network activity and optimize it with the help of microsoft project software. The result in the normal duration of 377 calendar days after the crash activity with the addition of working hours (overtime) to 232 calendar days while if using the alternative, adding the working time to 248 calendar days. With the addition of costs due to crashing activities with the addition of working hours (overtime) of 4 hours for 105 days is Rp. 2,994,111,616.08. Meanwhile, the comparison of the cost required for acceleration with the alternative of adding labor for 89 days is Rp. 1,775,009,149.13..
