Abstract
Victims of dating violence are generally dominated by women. However, sometimes when violence occurs, not a few women actually survive and defend their partners. The attitude of individuals who survive in violent relationships is called Stockholm syndrome. This condition can happen to victims of violence because each individual has their own attachment pattern. Individuals with secure attachment patterns are easily close and optimistic about others so they will tend to experience stockholm syndrome. This study aims to determine the relationship between secure attachment and the tendency of stockholm syndrome in female victims of dating violence. This research is a quantitative research. The subjects of this study were early adult women with an age range of 21-30 years who had experienced dating violence and were still in a dating relationship. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling technique. In this study, 94 participants were obtained. The measuring instruments used in this study are the Stockholm syndrome scale, the secure attachment scale and the dating violence scale. In the data analysis using spearman rho non-parametric correlation technique with the help of SPSS version 25 for windows program. Based on the correlation test, the correlation coefficient number (r) = -0.271 with a significance value of 0.008 (p <0.1), it can be interpreted that there is a very significant negative relationship between secure attachment and the tendency of stockholm syndrome in female victims of dating violence.
