Abstract
Fenomena sehari-hari dikalangan mahasiswa banyak yang sering menonton musik video J-pop dan mendengarkan lagu-lagu J-pop. Beberapa mahasiswa terlihat memperagakan tarian J-pop dan menyanyikan lagu J-pop. Dapat dilihat dari antuasiasme mahasiswa, J-pop menjadi salah satu aliran musik yang banyak digemari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perspektif mahasiswa Generasi Z terhadap J-pop. Penelitian ini menggunaan metode kuantitatif dengan data berupa diagram yang diperoleh dari hasil kuisoner. Sumber data yakni responden dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Generasi Z Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya dengan jumlah 100 orang. Sehingga dapat memperoleh hasil yaitu pandangan mayoritas mahasiswa Generasi Z terhadap J-pop adalah mereka mengetahui dan menyukai J-pop, pengalaman mahasiswa Generasi Z terhadap J-pop (Sering mendengarkan J-pop, jarang menyanyikan lagu J-pop, tidak memainkan musik ala J-pop, dan tidak memperagakan tarian J-pop), dan interpretasi mahasiswa Generasi Z terhadap J-pop adalah mereka menganggap J-pop adalah aliran musik yang bagus/baik.
