Abstract

Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon in the form of the release of energy, creating seismic waves. Damage to buildings due to lateral forces from earthquakes can be prevented or minimized if the behavior of the structure's performance can be predicted when the building is planned. In this research, the author evaluated the 10- story SRPM structure because previously it used the SNI 1726:2012 earthquake regulations, so it was necessary to carry out an evaluation that focused on the main structural elements to be able to determine displacement and drift due to the influence of earthquake forces according to the latest SNI 1726:2019 standard. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the strength of the main structural components, both main reinforcement and field reinforcement, meets the requirements for SRPMK beams and meets the nominal shear capacity requirements. Meanwhile, column components meet the requirements for receiving shear forces, but do not meet the requirements for Strong Column Weak Beam (SCWB). The maximum drift story value for the largest X direction earthquake is 0.0005809066 m and the maximum drift story value for the largest Y direction earthquake is 0.0002990385 m. The two maximum drift story values do not exceed the deviation between permit levels, which is 0.7228 m, or it can be concluded that the building meets safety requirements. After simulating earthquake forces based on ATC-40, the structure's performance is in the Immediate Occupancy (10) category because the maximum total deviation value is less than 0.01.
