Abstract
This research aims to determine the relationship between social support and self-efficacy and adjustment in overseas students. The subjects in this research were 251 Surabaya students who came from outside Java. This research uses quantitative research with measuring instruments in the form of scales of self-adjustment, social support, and self-efficacy. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of new students in 2023 Surabaya, coming from outside Java, and just living in Surabaya. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained, the correlation (R) was 0.800 with a significance of p=0.000 (p<0.01). The effective contribution in this study was 0.640 or 64%, meaning that together or simultaneously social support and self-efficacy have a positive relationship to self-adjustment. Another result, namely social support, obtained a result of t=2.636 with a significance of 0.009 (p<0.05), which means that social support and self-adjustment have a positive relationship and have a relative contribution of 3.6%. Furthermore, self-efficacy obtained a result of t=21.046 with a significance of 0.000 (p<0.05), meaning that it has a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and self-adjustment with a relative contribution of 60.4%.
