Abstract

Currently, technological developments are very rapid. This also has an impact on the increasingly widespread flow of information so that people can easily access information through various media, from mass media to social media. Social media allows users to participate easily by creating content that includes blogs, social networks, forums and other virtual worlds. A research approach is the entire method or activity in research starting from formulating the problem to drawing a conclusion. The research approach used in this research is a quantitative approach, because basically a quantitative approach uses numbers as a measure of data. In this research, the approach used by researchers is quantitative research and uses statistical formulas. The results of the research show that the calculated F value is 5.617 with a significance level of 0.000 - 0.05. The significant value shows 0.019, where if the significant value is 0.05, it means that the YouTube watching intensity variable has an effect on students' interest in learning. With an R-Square value of 0.04. This proves that the intensity of watching YouTube has a significant contribution to students' interest in learning with a contribution of 4.4%. Based on the results of research conducted with many people, 125 participants, namely students at SDN Airlangga 1 Surabaya, regarding the influence of the intensity of watching YouTube on interest in learning, the results show that there is an influence between the two research variables. The validity test results are proven by calculations if the calculated r table shows that the R table at the value of N(125) is 0.176.
