Abstract

Communication factors play an important role in improving the quality of public services. The public service sector is the main foundation for fulfilling people's rights and needs. The problem shows that the position of service quality is very important in shaping community satisfaction. Communication factors need to be a serious concern for public service organizations. Failure to establish public service communication can disrupt public service information and affect the quality of public services. The poor quality of public services has an impact on the low level of public trust in public service providers. The aim of this research is to describe the quality of service communication and information for service users in the Surabaya Police Area. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. This research was conducted during November 2023 in the Surabaya Police Office Area. This research uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques.The results can be concluded that the focus on public service communication, especially regarding the Cak Bhabin SIM service at the Surabaya Police, shows the importance of inclusive, responsive and empathetic communication strategies. Interviews with various parties, including service officials and the community, provide an overview of the efforts that have been made to strengthen the connection between public services and the communities they serve. The need to improve technical understanding, responsiveness and an empathetic approach in public service communication are key points that need to be improved.
