Abstract
Thisresearch aims to analyze the legal protection arrangements for consumers in banking disputes based on Law no. 8 of 1999 and Law no. 1998. The research method used is a type ofnormative legal research, namely that used in this research is a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. This research aims to produce the role of consumer protection in the context of dispute resolution in the banking industry and its impact on consumer protection. This research also aims to analyze even though the procedures regarding consumers in complaints about bad credit against banks are not specifically regulated within consumer institutions. The results of research into problematic credit applications are still held by BankIndonesia. It's just that this regulatory supervision of consumer legal protection does not discuss legal protection for consumers in detail. To overcome these obstacles, there must be involvement of the Financial Services Authority in providing guaranteed protection for the community in providing legal protection for customers in bad credit problems. The research results make a major contribution to consumer security and trust in banking services.
